Open position: Site Accountant Inspector

Location: Milan/ Turin

Construction site accountant employed in the Construction Site Management office for worksites relating to the upgrading of infrastructural works (viaducts and tunnels).

The resource we are looking for will oversee covering the role of Accounting Inspector in jobs connected to the realization of motorway construction sites.

The Accounting Site Inspector carries out his duties in compliance with the regulations in force and specifically is required to perform the following activities

  • Examine the contract (contract, general conditions, specification(s), price list) and the contract terms and conditions (rebate/increase, safety charges, calculation of work guarantee deductions);
  • Coordinate with the Works Management team, collaborating in the drafting of monthly and quarterly reports providing a forecast of the Works Progress Reports (SAL);
  • Manage works accounting by stages of progress with the quantification of works by measure, in body and in economy, organizing accounting works according to aggregation structures by levels (WBS/works);
  • Support the management of disputes (reserves);
  • Collaborate to negotiate new prices (coordination with the Contractor, analysis, supporting documentation, source articles, etc.) in any variant surveys.

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Surveyor or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Building or Environmental Engineering
  • At least 5 years’ experience as an Accounting Inspector
  • Knowledge of public works and construction regulations (Legislative Decree 50/16 and 36/23)
  • Knowledge of construction technologies for infrastructure works
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g. STR-Team System) and Office package (Excel, Word)
  • B driving licence
  • Willingness to travel throughout the country
