Open position: Site Accounting Inspector
Location: Milano (MI)/ Turin (TO)/ Aosta (AO)
Site Accounting Inspector to be placed in the Engineering – Works Management department.
The candidate we are looking for, with experience in works accounting, will be responsible for the technical and administrative management of contracts related to infrastructure projects (motorways), ensuring compliance with the relevant regulations and the correct keeping of accounting records.
Main responsibilities:
Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- examining the contract (contract, general conditions, specifications, price list) and contractual conditions (discounts/increases, safety charges, calculation of work guarantee withholdings);
- managing work accounting for progress reports with the quantification of works by measure, lump sum and cost, organising accounting processes according to aggregation structures by level (WBS/works);
- supporting the Works Management in the preparation of variation reports, cost analysis and verification of execution times;
- collaborate in the agreement of new prices (coordination with the Contractor, analysis, supporting documentation, articles of origin, etc.) for any variation reports;
- support the management of disputes (reserves);
- coordinate with the Works Management team, collaborating in the drafting of monthly and quarterly reports, providing a forecast of the SAL (state of progress).
Requirements:
- Surveyor’s diploma or bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil, construction or environmental engineering
- Several years of experience (at least 3 years) as a site accounting inspector
- Knowledge of public works and construction regulations (Legislative Decrees 50/16 and 36/23)
- Knowledge of infrastructure construction technologies
- Knowledge of construction accounting management software (e.g. STR-TeamSystem)
- Knowledge of BIM software
- Knowledge of Office software (Excel, Word)
- Driving licence (category B)
- Willingness to travel throughout the country
Additional Requirements:
- Registration in the Register of Engineers/Surveyors or willingness to register
- Experience as a site inspector
- Aptitude for site life and collaboration with technical operational staff
- Ability to work in a team and manage relations with the client and contractor
- Willingness to pursue technical development and keep up to date with public works regulations
- Results-oriented, reliable and able to meet deadlines
