Open position: Site Inspector/ Operations Manager – Construction Management Department
Location: Milano (MI)/ Turin (TO)/ Aosta (AO)
We are looking for Site Inspectors and Operations Managers for our infrastructure construction sites (mainly in north-west Italy).
Main responsibilities:
Operations Manager
- planning and coordinating the activities of Site Inspectors, the Materials and Testing Quality Manager and Surveyors;
- updating the general and detailed project schedule and promptly reporting any deviations from contractual provisions to the Project Manager, proposing the necessary corrective measures;
- drafting end-of-month and quarterly reports to be sent to the technical management and the client;
- assist the Project Manager in identifying the measures required to rectify design or construction defects;
- examine the construction plans proposed by the Contractor and communicate observations to the Project Manager;
- supervise the verification that works are carried out to a high standard and in accordance with the design.
Site Inspectors
- checking the accompanying documentation for material supplies to ensure that they comply with the specifications and have been approved by the supplier’s quality control departments;
- verifying, prior to installation, that materials, equipment and systems have passed the testing phases required by quality control or by current regulations;
- monitoring the activities of subcontractors;
- monitoring the proper execution of works in accordance with drawings and contractual technical specifications;
- assisting with laboratory tests;
- assisting with works inspections and commissioning and acceptance tests of systems;
- coordinating the resolution of interference issues.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: diploma or degree
- Several years’ experience (at least 3 years) in the role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Category B driving license
- Willingness to travel throughout the country

- Aptitude for site work and collaboration with technical and operational staff
- Ability to work in a team and manage relations with third parties
- Results-oriented, reliable and able to meet deadlines
